Styling Skirts for Spring
In honor of my skirt-centered IGTV video, I wanted to share some of the skirts I’ve been eyeing this season. 2018 was the year of my obsession with high-waisted jeans, but I have a feeling 2019 is going to be all about the skirts! Midi, mini, maxi - I’ll take ‘em all!
Best of Spring Skirts: My Wish List!
I spent some time trying to find a theme here, but this selection is really all over the place… The only theme is that they’re all skirts! I love the tomboyish-ness of the the plaid maxi, the quirkiness of the floral jean mini, and the elegance of the high-waisted gingham piece. I can imagine myself wearing each of these pieces with a plain white tee throughout the season.
Best of Spring Skirts: Mini
If you follow my Instagram, you know that I am a longtime fan of a good mini-skirt and tights combo, but in the spring, it feels so good to let my legs breathe! (And maybe get a hint of a tan. Just maybe.)
These are some of my favorite patterns, colors, and silhouettes for the season, and they pair beautifully with an oversized sweater to keep me warm until summer.
Best of Spring Skirts: Florals
Florals for spring, groundbreaking.
But who can blame us?! It’s so fun to bring out the florals as we watch the wildflowers spring up through the cracks in the sidewalk. I love how many types of florals there are — you can go for the vintage-inspired feel or a totally modern look; a subtle and muted palette or bursting with color!
Best of Spring Skirts: Vintage-Inspired
Speaking of vintage, I am always a fan of a high-waisted vintage-inspired skirt and a nice tailored silhouette on top. It’s somehow so elegant yet casual all at once!
Are there any pieces you’ll be adding to your wish list for this spring? Let me know in the comments!
